Europe 2026

We’re heading to Europe for six weeks, and we can’t wait to share the best meals, beautiful rail journeys and memorable experiences we find along the way. Our adventure will take us through Spain, Italy and Switzerland, with plenty of honest stories and useful travel tips to bring home.

We’re keeping exact future dates and locations off the public itinerary so we can enjoy the trip safely and share it thoughtfully. As we travel, this page will grow with first-hand stories, practical advice and destination guides you can actually use.

Spain: Barcelona and Girona

We’ll begin—and later wrap up—our journey in Catalonia, spending time in Barcelona and Girona. We’re looking forward to tapas, Gaudí’s architecture, Montserrat and the Sagrada Família, along with all the unexpected discoveries that make a trip memorable.

Tirano, the Swiss Alps and Milan

Next, we’ll travel through Tirano and into the Swiss Alps before continuing on to Milan. We’ll share what we eat, where we stay and what the rail journeys are really like, including the details we wish we had known beforehand.

Bologna, Florence and Tuscany

Bologna is high on our list for food before we settle into Florence and explore more of Tuscany by train. Expect stories from food and wine tours, the Duomo, Pitti Palace, Orvieto and the smaller moments that become favourite travel memories.

Naples, Calabria and Sicily

We’ll then head south through Naples, Cosenza and Scilla before travelling across Sicily through Catania, Agrigento and Palermo. We’ll be sharing candid notes on local food, accommodation, activities and how it all works when you’re getting around independently.
